Here are some snaps from today's early afternoon - all with the collapsible 50. Normally, for 50mm, I use my similarly ancient Summilux or the 1.0 Noctilux. I was surprised that the ancient Summicron focused perfectly on the M9 and, although it seems relatively low contrast, particularly wide open, it still seems to work well. Then we decided to go to a park with a historical ranch house that is commonly used for weddings and is also a noted fine dining restaurant which was closed for food however is almost always open for visitors.
Today, I blew the dust off of the lens (quite deep ) and wanted to see if it really worked.įortunately, my friend Kat came over to sit in the sunshine in the back yard and sip some wine. One of the lenses I have had for many decades but seldom use is the 50mm Collapsible Summicron.
